Some days the memories of everything I went through are still too heavy to hold. Echos is where I go when I need something lighter — or at least something that isn’t trying to drag me back into the chaos.
These are the sayings, posts, and memes I saved while doom‑scrolling through social media during the worst parts of my life. Nothing profound. Some were silly. Some were meant to be inspirational. Some were so painfully out of touch that I’d roll my eyes and think, “Sure. Who actually believes this stuff? Did the person who wrote it ever meet reality?”
At the time, they felt like reminders of what “normal” people thought — people who weren’t fighting a mental battle just to get through the day. They didn’t motivate me. They didn’t comfort me. Mostly, they annoyed me.
But now, with a mind that’s a little less chaotic, I can look back at them differently. I remember why I saved them, what I thought then, and how I feel about them now. Some still make me laugh. Some still make me groan. And a few — somehow — have started to make sense.
This section is where I revisit those fragments. Not as life lessons. Not as inspiration. Just as echoes — pieces of the world I wasn’t ready for then but can finally look at without flinching. These posts are what I call “writing out loud” not polished or pretty but just what I think as I re-read these sayings over again, months after I saved them.
You will see occasional posts named Echo’s – that is what these posts are. Not an event that happened but just how I was feeling throughout my WTF year.
